Steps

  1. Monitor incoming orders from online platforms such as Dutchie, Weedmaps, or Jane. Assign a staff member to manage this task during peak hours.
  2. Review each order for completeness and verify that all requested items are in stock. If substitutions are necessary, contact the customer before preparing the order.
  3. Accept or confirm the order in the online platform or your internal tracking system, marking it as “In Progress.”
  4. Print the order manifest or receipt and use it as a picking list. Gather all products from the sales floor or back stock, verifying SKUs and package IDs.
  5. Package the order in accordance with compliance rules, including child-resistant packaging and exit bags where required.
  6. Label the order clearly with the customer’s name, order number, and status. Place the packaged order in the designated pickup or curbside staging area.
  7. When the customer arrives, verify their ID and ensure that it matches the name on the order. For curbside transactions, perform verification before handing off the order.
  8. Complete the sale in the POS system. Collect payment if required, issue a receipt, and mark the order as “Complete.”
  9. Update order status in your online platform. If the customer does not arrive within the designated window, follow store policy for order cancellation or restocking.

Log any discrepancies, substitutions, or customer issues for management review.
