To ensure cannabis deliveries are prepared, transported, and completed safely, securely, and in full compliance with state and local regulations. This procedure outlines verification steps, secure transport requirements, customer handoff protocols, and documentation standards. CloudBox can be used to verify outgoing or incoming product quantities before packaging or to track inventory adjustments after delivery completion.

Steps
- Confirm Delivery Schedule and Documentation
- Review the day’s delivery manifest and route schedule.
- Confirm all customer and product information is correct.
- Prepare Each Delivery Order
- Assemble each order in a secure area.
- Verify SKUs, package IDs, and inventory quantities.
- CloudBox data may be referenced to validate that the correct amount of product is being removed from storage.
- Package Orders According to State Requirements
- Use compliant child-resistant and opaque exit packaging.
- Label each order with required information.
- Secure Orders for Transport
- Place completed orders into a locked transport container or secure vehicle compartment.
- Ensure the transport container cannot be accessed from the driver or passenger area.
- If CloudBox was used to manage the outgoing product, confirm inventory deductions are recorded after the order leaves the facility.
- Verify Vehicle Readiness
- Ensure manifests, delivery logs, identification, and any required licenses or permits are on board.
- Confirm that GPS or tracking tools are operational.
- Follow the Authorized Delivery Route
- Begin deliveries using the approved route plan.
- Do not deviate from the route unless management provides authorization.
- Verify Customer Identity Upon Delivery
- Check the customer’s government-issued ID and any medical card or documentation.
- Confirm the individual matches the information on the order.
- Do not complete delivery if ID verification fails.
- Collect Payment and Provide Receipt
- Accept payment only through approved methods.
- Document payment in the delivery log or POS if online sync is available.
- Provide the customer with a receipt.
- Update Delivery Logs and System Records
- Record delivery completion time, recipient information, and any relevant notes.
- Once back online, update the POS and traceability systems.
- Handle Failed Deliveries
- If delivery cannot be completed, secure the product and record the reason for return.
- Notify management immediately.
- Upon return, move the product back into secure storage and update records accordingly.
- End-of-Day Delivery Reconciliation
- Compare manifests, delivered orders, returns, and collected payments.
