Setup Guide for CloudBox Link Use

Introduction:

Ohaus is qualified for CloudBox Link because it includes a standard RS232 interface and allows all required settings, including a baud rate of 9600, eight data bits, no parity, and one stop bit. To set up your Ohaus scale for CloudBox Link, connect it through the RS232 serial port and match the communication settings used by Link. Save the settings, connect to your Link tablet adapter, and confirm that live readings appear in the test screen.

Overview:

In order for your scale to work with CloudBox Link, it must be set to specific settings to ensure that Link can read your scales weight. Please ensure that your scale has these modes enabled and set to:

  1. Communication Settings --> Set to Yes or On.
  2. Data Transfer Settings --> Set to Yes or On.
  3. Auto Print Settings --> Set to Continuous.

Communication Settings Setup:

  1. Hold the "Menu" button until the scale enters Menu mode.
  2. Click the "No" button until you reach the Com-1 menu.
  3. Click "Yes" to enter the Com-1 menu.
  4. Click "No" to cycle the settings to Yes.
  5. Click "Yes" to confirm changes.
  6. Click "Exit" to return back to main menu.

Data Transfer Settings Setup:

  1. Hold the "Menu" button until the scale enters Menu mode.
  2. Click the "No" button until you reach the Print menu.
  3. Click "Yes" to enter the Print menu.
  4. Click the "No" button until you reach the Data Transfer menu abbreviated by dAtatr
  5. Click "Yes" to enter the Data Transfer menu.
  6. Click "No" to change to On.
  7. Click "Yes" to confirm the changes.
  8. Click "Exit" to return back to the main menu.

Auto-Print Settings Setup:

  1. Hold the "Menu" button until the scale enters Menu mode.
  2. Click the "No" button until you reach the Print menu.
  3. Click "Yes" to enter the Print menu.
  4. Click the "No" button until you reach the Auto Print menu abbreviated by APrint.
  5. Click "Yes" to enter the Auto Print menu.
  6. Click "No" to change to Continuous.
  7. Click "Yes" to confirm the changes.
  8. Click "Exit" to return back to the main menu.
